FREE Family Event at Cathedral Square this Heritage Perth Weekend.

Families are invited to create, play and be inspired by FREE activities in the Square between 10AM-3PM on Friday, 16 April. 

Activity program includes:

 

Guru Dudu Silent Disco Tours 

11AM, 12PM & 1PM – Get ready to shake and groove through a heritage tour of Cathedral Square. See popular landmarks like you’ve never seen them before.

Earth Sculptures 

10AM to 3PM – Create a community sculpture from Western Australian native plants to create a stunning community artwork made with the hands and hearts of local residents.

Stained Glass Windows 

10AM to 3PM – Explore the heritage of the stained glass windows from St George’s Cathedral to create your own. Explore colour mixing, light and refraction by collaging biodegradable cellophane and tissue paper within a cardboard frame to create your very own unique artwork.

Precinct Treasure Hunt 

10AM to 3PM – Families can guide themselves to key heritage landmarks in Cathedral Square in a treasure hunt. Collect stamps along the way and learn about these important cultural landmarks.

Point Zero Map 

10AM to 3PM – Engage with one of Cathedral Square’s most interesting pieces of heritage ‘Point Zero’ and mark your journey on the map. 

Little Architects 

10AM to 3PM – Build you own paper city by reflecting on the unique architecture in Cathedral Square.
