An anticipated event in the Art Education Calendar, The Annual Art Exhibition at St George’s Cathedral launches for its 18th year.

In celebration of the Awards Night Ceremony, the Art Galleries at Cathedral Square will extend their opening hours on Thursday 22 July. Art Collective WA, Kamile Gallery and Moore Contemporary will each host a FREE bespoke art experience:

 

ART COLLECTIVE WA // MEET THE ARTISTS

In celebration of the annual event, Eveline Kotai, Jane Martin & Angela Stewart will be in the gallery for one-night to discuss and divulge details of their current exhibitions. 

 

KAMILE GALLERY // VIDEO INSTALLATION

Artist Caroline Drummond has created a video installation with the artworks from 2018/2019 students works and we will be projecting them in the gallery space. Also serving refreshments available on the night.

 

MOORE CONTEMPORARY // MEET THE ARIST

Artist Tom Muller will be the artist on site from 4:30 – 6:30pm. He will speak to his works in the current exhibition and field questions regarding his art practice. Drinks and light catering will be offered throughout the extended hours. Additionally, one of the Gallery walls facing to the Square will be used to show a video work, Mountain by artist PILAR MATA DUPONT presented on a monitor. Being viewable through the glass, the moving image will provide further visible activation in the Square.
