Hundreds of blooms that would otherwise go to waste now adorn the canopy of a jacaranda tree in Perth’s Cathedral Square as a symbol of hope amidst these devastating times.

A final collaboration for staff who have been made redundant, the public installation is an initiative by State Buildings florist Fox & Rabbit and their main supplier of wholesale flowers Profresh.

Fox & Rabbit owner Rebecca Const said the gesture was a bittersweet way for her team to do one last project together and spread a little hope and joy to the wider community.

Done in Fox & Rabbit’s signature unstructured style, the colourful Flower Bomb features elaborate chains of glorious flowers looping through the boughs that will remain in Cathedral Square until Sunday, 29 March 2020.
