Pretty Bird is a series of anthropomorphic sketches of Western Australian birds reflecting human characteristics to tell everyday stories.
Artist Ross Potter draws birds – dead or alive – and manipulates their bodies to convey physical expressions of human pain. Birds become cloaks for his own emotions, as well as the people he has encountered. Each bird tells a different story.

Visit Kamile Gallery to view this extraordinary exhibition from 1 May – 29 May.
