Global surf tourism is worth up to $91 billion per year but surfing’s benefits to human well-being aren’t often studied in economic terms. We know surfing is good for local communities and can make places more desirable to live in. It’s crucial we understand the real value of surfing and how it underpins local economies and lifestyles.
